Dr. David Barnett, D.M.D., F.A.G.D
Dr. Barnett grew up in West Hartford. He graduated from Hall High School, and then attended Marietta college and graduated in 1968 with a bachelors in biology. He furthered his education at the University of Pennsylvania graduating in 1972 where he completed his D.M.D.
Doctor Barnett served on active duty in the U. S. Navy Dental Corps from 1969-1974. In 1974 he joined a Rocky Hill Dental Family Practice established in 1956.
Doctor Barnett earned fellowship degrees from the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Dental International and The America College of Forensic Examiners Institute. He is a diplomat of the American Board Forensic Dentistry and Medicine, and on staff of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Barnett is constantly learning more and continuing his education. He is enthusiastic about learning new techniques and using new materials, that make dentistry easier for the patient. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, New England Dental Society, Hartford Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Dentistry International, American Association of Endodontists, and the American College of Forensic Examiners.
Dr. Barnett has been a competitive rower since 1964. He loves to read books, and spend time outdoors. He has been married to his wife Florence for 38 years. He has two adult daughters Lisa and Christine.
Dr. Stuart Shoflick – DMD
Dr. Shoflick grew up in Parsippany New Jersey. He graduated from Parsippany high school in 1977. He then attended Syracuse University where he met his wife of 23 years, Debbie.
After graduating in 1981, Dr. Shoflick attended Fairleigh Dickinson where he completed his D.M.D. in 1987. Dr. Shoflick did a year residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital. He moved to Connecticut in 1990, and joined Family Dentistry.
With a commitment to providing the very best for his patients, Dr.Shoflick is heavily involved with local and regional associations including the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, Hartford Dental Society and Alpha Omega Dental Society.
Dr. Shoflick’s unrelenting commitment to his patients and never ending endeavor toward excellence and integrity has contributed to his success. Dr. Shoflick has many years of experience as well as extensive continuing education in esthetic, restorative, and implant dentistry.
Since advancements in dental technology and procedures occur so frequently, Dr. Shoflick is constantly attending seminars, and joining peer groups in order to stay up to date on all the latest materials and techniques.
Dr. Shoflick is an avid golfer and runner. He loves to spend time with his wife and their three daughters.
Dr. McCabe – DMD
Dr. McCabe graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology and a minor in Human Rights in 2008, and then went on to the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he received his degree in 2012.
He completed externships in both the Hartford Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center and Comayagua, Honduras. There on a dental service trip in Honduras, along with a team of UConn dental students and several affiliated private practitioners, he helped provide educational instruction and care to the underserved community of Comayagua.
Giving back to the community is very important to Dr. McCabe. Dr. McCabe has been a 4 year participant in the Connecticut Mission of Mercy program, was a student co-director for the South Park Homeless Shelter Dental Clinic, volunteered in the Special Olympics/Special Smiles, Give Kids a smile, the Migrant Farm Workers Clinic and the Inner City Dental Mission. He is also a South Windsor Little League Assistant Baseball Coach.
He is a native resident and member of the community in South Windsor, CT, and has 2 younger brothers.
Dr. McCabe is a currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Hartford Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry.
